  • Corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete structure
    Corrosion mechanisms of steel in concrete in marine and industrial environments; influence of concrete cracks; corrosion assessment and remediation
  • Concrete deterioration in aggressive environment
    Concrete deterioration due to leaching, acid attack, sulphate attack and aggressive gas attack, durability of concrete structures in sewer and industrial environments
  • Concrete structures and structural analysis
    Thin-walled concrete spherical shells, experimental design and theoretical analysis
  • High performance concrete and polymer modified mortar
    High performance concretes containing mineral admixtures (silica fume, fly ash or slag), self compacting concrete, geopolymer concrete, polymer modified repair mortars
