Research AreasHis research in construction process management and concrete durability and repair is widely published and internationally recognized. He has researched safety, quality, waste management, and the optimisation of construction and materials technology. He is currently leading a R & D program with major contractors to develop zero defect strategies. He has attracted more than He reviews technical papers for leading international journals including Journal of Construction Engineering and Management (ASCE), Engineering Construction and Architectural Management, Construction Management and Economics and to review research applications for EPSRC in the UK. Professional ServicesMajor consultancies have included providing advice regarding the future direction of construction materials and systems to several leading global construction materials manufacturers, and to a number of leading national contractors regarding construction process planning and control. He has researched consumer attitudes to the house building industry. He has extensive experience with construction and quality issues in relation to housing. He developed the Inspection & Test Plan format used by the construction sector for quality planning, and had a lead role in the development of two innovative floor construction systems that have been successfully commercialised. | ||||||
