The BE in Environmental Engineering is a four year full time undergraduate degree program. The discipline of environmental engineering embraces part of civil engineering, with emphasis on management, systems design, water, geotechnical and transport engineering, together with aspects of chemical engineering, applied and biological sciences and environmental studies.

The BE in Environmental Engineering is fully accredited by the Institution of Engineers, Australia.

Environmental engineers work to protect and improve human health and safety and protect the natural environment from pollution. The course places an emphasis on:

  • sustainability,
  • environmental processes,
  • environmental management,
  • planning of projects to reduce environmental impact,
  • rehabilitation of environmental damage.
