Where do civil engineers with architecture work?Most civil engineers work in an office environment where they investigate, plan, design and manage projects; others manage and supervise construction projects on site. Many projects involve both office and field work. Students graduating from this degree will be well qualified to collaborate with architects, artists and other professionals in multidisciplinary built environment teams, to produce integrated, sustainable design. Civil engineers usually work in urbanized areas, but their skills are also required in rural, remote and isolated areas, in Australia and around the world. How much does a civil engineer earn?On average, a starting salary for a UNSW civil engineering graduate is about $50,000, rising to $80,000 to $100,000 or more with experience.
