2. Approvals Necessary


In order that a work period is counted as part of Industrial Training the proposed employment must be approved by the school prior to commencing work. Such approvals are sought by completing the attached Form CE 31A below, in full and submitting this form to the School Office.

APPROVAL WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY BE GRANTED. A STUDENT MAY BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT FURTHER SUPPORTING INFORMATION FOR THE INTENDED EMPLOYMENT TO BE APPROVED.

Retrospective approvals may not be granted. Fresh approvals should be sought for each different period of Industrial Training.

At the completion of a training period, certification must be obtained from your employer. Certification should be made on the attached Employment Record form CE 31B and should be submitted to the School Office to be kept as evidence of industrial experience in the student's file.

Evidence of a minimum of 40 working days will be verified from submitted CE31B forms prior to accepting enrolment in this subject. This condition is to ensure that you have sufficient information to prepare the Industrial Training report during the session of enrolment.
